There are a few mistakes I did when I started blogging.
Starting a blog on a non monetizable topic like free gprs tricks and continuing it for 15 months.People like Harsh Agarwal of shoutmeloud, Rahul Banker of thecopypasteblog started blogging about free gprs tricks, copy pasting them but then stopped and turned to blog about blogging. I did not have that sense.
Starting a blog on the blogspot platform and continuing it for 15 months. I should have bought a custom domain and turned to something else sooner.
Copy pasting or plagiarism. I copy pasted lot of articles from popular forums like gstek.info and frendz4m for free gprs and other things which concerned my niche. I was doing it for traffic but then it was a blunder. It is a traffic which wouldn’t pay for a single thing on the planet. Free data, free calls, free recharge. If I posted free AIDS they would take that too. But I did not know that and I continued like an ass. And I too was like them. I loved all these things until I realised what a fucking beggar I was. Who in the telecom industry would care if a few GBs of their trillions of TBs of data was unpaid for. For no cost to them I advertised Airtel, Reliance etc. The only reason that Airtel has 10 million subscribers is not because Rahman composed their jingle but because they have consistently provided hacks and tricks. And let me tell you Vodafone is now copying that. No management book would teach you that!!! Take that for free
Relying on Google Adsense. I was shocked when my application for Adsense was rejected. But if you are in the tricks world then even if you are averaging 10000 pageviews per day you will earn only $200 per month with Adsense and forget about affiliate marketing ,they are not gonna spend a trickle. With the same 10k views shoutmeloud earns $10000 per month. Its not the pageviews that matter, what matters is what you blog about and who comes to you. If you go cheap you can never get Ambani.
Well that sums it up. If you are blogging and are making the same mistakes then please stop doing it right now. No long term benefits. Blogging can be taken up as a serious profession if you want to do it right. Or you can make the same mistakes as I made. I know I will get some hate comments. You are welcome to express your opinion. I will change this blog from blogspot blog to custom domain soon and change the theme. Shortly I will delete all copy pasted posts from this blog. One by one!!
